My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Hugs Project Incorporated, Oklahoma City, OK, USA
I have Volunteered a few hours here & there to help the HUGS Project, but its been awhile since I've been able to make time to assist these awesome people who pour their lives into providing real essentials wih a healthy dose of home (the great USA) and love into boxes shipped across the miles to our men and women serving and sacrificing their very lives for our freedom. That's why I've marked my role as a general member of the public; I don't feel like I deserve to be in the same category as those who volunteer on a regular basis week after week, day after day to provide this remarkable service that they provide.
It's an honor for me to say that I've even been a part of this great organization & to have known Ray & Karen Stark. They definitely deserve this $5000 award and will put it to good use paying for shipping these donations to the wonderful men and women of our US armed services.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
I get their newsletter each week and I read the letters that the recipients of these care packages write. They are so grateful for what's been provided in those packages. Many times they're in an area where they have nothing but a days rations! The military is only required to provide the bare essentials & many of these folks don't have families who send them things. I read one just today that talked about their water tasting like dirt & how their care pkg had drink flavor packets. They were so grateful!
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I wouldn't do a thing! Its perfect just the way it is.
