I would not have spent 20 years volunteering at The Women's Home had I not seen their continuing significant successful track record in creating programs that return women to lives of independence and dignity. The facts and figures are there. Many of these women have experienced abuse from childhood. I cannot imagine what some have survived. I volunteer on the "business" side and am not qualified to counsel the women. I have been amazed to see how the human spirit can come back when a person is treated properly. I hope to continue volunteering for a long time to come.
The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
*Seeing our graduates make articulate and poised presentations about their experiences at The Women's Home. *Watching residents do productive work in our thrift shop. *Seeing how eager they are to sign up for and complete the courses offered/ *Knowing they get and keep jobs.
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
