My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for In2Books (ePals Foundation), Herndon, VA, USA
This is my first year with In2Books. My epal Gwen is in 4th grade and we've read fiction "The Naked Mole-Rat" and social studies "Sacajawea". Our teacher is right on top of the program and keeps me well informed about the classroom. It's exciting to receive Gwen's letters, as she's open and enthusiastic about the books, and she shares a few things about herself with me.
The staff at In2Books makes it easy to sign up and has extensive suggestions on how to write the best letters possible. I love books and children, so this program fits me to a 'T'.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Receiving a letter from my student is the highlight of my day. It also gives me great satisfaction to write letters to her that are examples of proper correspondence (no spelling shortcuts). Writing is an important part of education and this program helps them perfect that skill.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I sometimes wish I could send gifts to the teacher, related to the current book, but realize this is not really feasible. It's enough to do the job asked by the organization and do it well.
