My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Alzheimers Art Quilt Initiative, Burton, MI, USA
As is true of so many of us who have made and donated quilts to this cause, I lost my mother and two of her siblings to Alzheimer's Disease. I could do nothing for her when she was alive, so the best i can do is whatever I can to raise money to find a cure. This organization is a grass roots effort that has done amazing things, raising nearly $500,000-- not in big donations, but one small quilt at a time. As Mother Theresa said, we cannot do great things on this earth but we can do small things with great love. Together, we can find a cure for Alzheimer's.
