AAQI is in it's sixth year and has raised over $690,000.00 for research. They have had over 9,000 quilts donated for auctions and sale. For a lttle grassroots organization started by Ami Sims because her mother had this insidious disease, we have come a very long way with not end in sight!!

MY ROLE:

For those of us who have lost a loved one to Alzheimer's the AAQI is very near and dear to our hearts. Alzheimer's is a vicious disease that robs the individual of his or her very essence one memory at a time. It is scary and devastating to the one afflicted and heart breaking to the family and friends. AAQI makes making a difference so easy. You can make or buy or make and buy! a priority quilt to raise funds for research into this insidious disease. Anyone can help. It doesn't take a lot of time or a lot of money, just a desire to make a difference. I think it's one of the most effective non-profits I've ever known about.
