THRASHER OPERA HOUSE CORPORATION
January 27, 2011

We have enjoyed many musical events at Thrasher. Almost all have been artists we would not have been aware of, or unable to see because of cost of tickets, and distance to travel to a larger venue. It is a rare occurrence to be disappointed in the performances that we choose to attend.
We love everything about Thrasher- the outstanding acoustics, intimate atmosphere, comfy seats, as well as being able to meet our friends who also enjoy the music here. Very often the artists comment on how much they love to perform at Thrasher. They seem to deeply appreciate our small town charm, friendliness, outstanding welcome they receive, and our love of their music. It feels very cool to be a part of this 'inside' perspective. There is always an opportunity to meet & speak with the artists who perform here. I think they view it as a 'getaway' stop while on the road.
We love Thrasher, and wish it a long, prosperous run.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Seeing visitors come to Green Lake to hear the music, participate in community performances, and support this venue. Tourism is a major contributor to the economic well being of this small town, TOH has been a major driver in bringing people here over the years. The Arts & Music bring people who are literate and appreciative of the value of education at all levels and ages.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Help them expand and grow in being able to provide more activities, more rest room facilities, and obtain a dedicated space for refreshments. Additional space for an art gallery and social interacting during intermission & before and after shows would be terrific.

MY ROLE:
