Review for North Lakeside Cultural Center, Chicago, IL, USA
The first time I volunteered at the North Lakeside Cultural Center was on Martin Luther King Day several years ago. I helped by painting the walls where great art work would be displayed. I came back many times to the NLCC to volunteer to do whatever was necessary to keep the building clean and ready for more artists, musicians, and actors to present their craft.
Art exhibitions, music lessons, and theater groups are practicing every time I come to volunteer there. There is artistic energy all around which feels wonderful.
NLCC is such a value to this community. In the summer, there are art fairs on the grounds. It's location on Lake Michigan gives people from near and far an opportunity to visit the fairs and the lake. Such beauty!
There are Jazz Supper Clubs every other week during most of the year that are delightful. Besides great jazz, I am fed a wonderful meal in a candlelight setting. The mansion is a great place for these supper clubs.
