Animal Welfare Association, Inc.

Yesterday I took my 18 month old cat - Tick-Tack - to the AWA to be spayed. She also received her rabies shot and her dystemper shot. And she had her nails clipped. AWA was very kind to Tick-Tack, but I could see that she was ready to come home. And the veterinary services were affordable. I'd recommend this agency to anyone. Thank you.

I am a member of this Orchestra's radio audience. It is AWESOME!!! FANTASTIC! I only wish that I could go to their concerts and performances more here in South Jersey, as I am a little ol' lady now with a physical challenge. [I walk with a cane.] The Orchestra has performed at least once or twice at the Cherry Hill Mall, which I was able to attend, and that was moe than terrific. If they could come to NJ again soon, their audience would expand here tremendously, I'm sure. Thanks!!!

Samaritan Hospice

My father Angelo Caruso - was dignosed with advanced dementia in 2002 and he lived to age 92. In 1997 he went to live in an assisted living home in Pennsauken, NJ called 'The Fountains'. I was unable to visit him on the weekdays but my role as a daughter was covered by the care of his visitor from Samaritan Hospice. The man who visited with my Dad in the last months of my Dad's life would talk with him about old times in the Italian neighborhoods which my father knew well. At the end of his life, my father grew unresponsive but the man from Samaritan Hospice sat with him and spoke with him anyway. I can't ever thank Samaritan Hospice and their visitor enough for covering for me while I was at work to earn a living. Thanks! Carol Caruso Caruthers

OUR LADY OF LOURDES HOSPITAL
December 15, 2011
Back in the summer of 2007, I suffered a stroke and was rushed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Burlington, NJ. I am told - and from hospital records and hospital prsonnel - that I was in a coma for several days, and that there was some question about what permanent physical damage there migh be to my ability to walk, talk, and the like - needing physical rehabilitation to recover. There was a Nurse at my side almost throughout. Her name is Bernadette Jackson - the Parish Nurse at Assumption Church [now Christ the Redeemer-Assumption Parish] here in Atco, Camden County, NJ, as well as a Nursing Supervisor at Lourdes Hospital. When I woke up, Bernadette was there - standing at my feet and smiling down at my bedside. She asked me whether I knew who she was, and I replied - 'Of course I do. Your the Nurse from Assumption Church in Atco.' That did it. She smiled even more and said that I would be alright. Then she touched my toes to see if there was any reaction, and there was. I owe my survival for the last 4 1/2 years to Our Lady of Lourdes Hosputal and to Bernadette Jackson, MSN. In fact, I did subsequently nominated her for a March of Dimes [NJ] Nurse of the Year Award. She received what amounts to an Honorable Mention in November, 2011 for all this. She is now at Kennedy Hospital, Cherry Hill, Camden County, NJ. Thank you one and all.

OUR LADY OF LOURDES HEALTH FOUNDATION
June 24, 2011
I had a stroke - a TIA and a CVE - in a nearby hospital to Lourdes at their Willingboro, NJ campus. This happened in the summr of 2007. The Lourdes emergrncy room and its trained staff saved my life. I would particularly like to acknowledge the contributions of Ms. Bernadette Jackson, RN, MCC. She was the Angel of Mercy whose complete and total care helped to save my life. Thank you Lourdes!!! And thanks to you as well, Bernadette!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
The summer of 2007, as a patient in the Lourdes Emergency Room and in their Adult Critical Care Units. Their mercy, generosity, and total unselfishness in putting the needs of their patients first - this gives me hope for the current health care system.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I wouldn't. Just keep doing the merciful and careful work that you already provide and God will do the remainder.

The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia
January 26, 2011
I have been a member of the extended audience of the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra for about ten years. During that time I have thorougly enjoyed the conducting of Maestro Ignat Solzhenitsyn and new Music Director Dirk Brosse.
Maestro Ignat Solzhenitsyn has a 'way' with chamber orchestra. His depth of artistry touches the human spirit. Under his leadership the Orchestra put forth outstanding achievemnts in the performance of music for small groups.
And Maestro Brosse! I heard his very own 'Romance for Piano', a solo piece that he composed and performed on 'the 10! Show' on NBC10. The standard of music composition/criticism that I think is most apt is that "it listens to the eternal tones of the Lord God and gently reproduces those tones as clearly as the composer has 'seen' them." [Albert Schweitzer]
Maestro Brosse clearly in his own works reflect the eternal tones of the Angelic Hosts of God and, therefore, I more than recommend the Philadelphia Chamber Orchestra to all classical music lovers.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I wouldn't. I am not qualified to do so. However, as a resident of Southern New Jersey, I would love to see them perfom in South Jersey and not just in the City of Philadelphia and the surrounding Pennsylvania suburbs. That way there would be enhanced accessibility for me in terms of public transportation and cost.
MY ROLE:
General Member of the Public & I wrote a booklet which I entitled 'CREATED INFINITY, MUSIC, AND GOD'. I gifted the copyright to a 5-year old girl and her 3-year brother because both children have perfect pitch. If I can advance their classical training in this way, I think it will be.
