My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Transcultural Exchange Inc, Boston, MA, USA
In the two years that I've been working with Transcultural Exchange I've learned a great deal about both the art world in general and what it takes to be a professional artist. TCE, as we like to call it among ourselves, caters to artists of all ages and mediums, who are ready to take a step further, to take charge of their careers and meet other professionals in their field. For the conferences, TCE brings museum curators, residency directors, grant experts, artists and mentors from all over the world. In one weekend you gain a lifetime of networking and learning... My personal gain has been two folded: as a young professional working behind the scene, learning the works and getting to know other professionals in my field, and as an artist ready to take the stage. But one can never neglect the people you are surrounded by, like the director Mary Sherman, the staff and volunteers I've worked with, or the board. They've showed me both kindness and excellence. Which is why I am continuing to give my time and experience to Transcultural Exchange.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Artists, writers, musicians have a lot to learn about navigating their professional careers. This is where Transcultural Exchange comes in. Additionally, TCE is always running a large scale collaborative project, connecting artists from across the world.
