Review for Jewish Family Services, Columbus, OH, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I was separated from my employment in the fall of 2008. I had not done many interviews or worked on my resume to that point. The counselors at JFS have worked very well with me to sharpen the skills I already had. They also worked on the skills I needed to compete for a job.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Most definately.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Maybe set up some sort of language training.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Meeting with all the people who are going through the same issues and being able to discuss them.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

They have all been very personable and driven to succeed.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Continue doing the fine things they do. They prepare us but it comes down to us executing on the lessons learned.

Ways to make it better...

I can not think of anything specific.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Staying focused on the seemingly never ending struggle to find people quality employment.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I hope this program continues.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Client Served & Operations/Transportation Supervisor.
