Project SHARE of Carlisle
May 14, 2009
Project Share is a faith based organization whose only focus is to feed and clothe those in need. Workers and volunteers wear tennis shoes and show up prepared to work and help their neighbors. Whether you give them four days a week or an hour of your time, you can find something you are able to do and the other volunteers, staff and recipients will appreciate your help.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the variety of people that come in and help.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
wonderful. Many were from local churches, some were boy scouts, some were from local companies volunteering for the day.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Buy its own facility that has an indoor waiting area, more storage, a break room for employees. In bad weather, recipients have to stand outside in the rain/cold, etc because there's no room inside.
When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
Volunteer & I have done many things: I have sorted produce, passed out food on the distribution line, sorted and hung donated clothing, repackaged bulk food into smaller containers, sorted canned goods from food drives, counted cans, etc..
