Global Links
April 29, 2009

I am so proud to have an organization in Pittsburgh's back yard that touches so many parts of the world so profoundly. The humility of the Global Links organization coupled with its impact on the lives of the poor is such a strong reflection of Christ, that I believe His Spirit carries the organization. Their stewardship of all resources, dedication and effectivenss in continuing the mission despite impediments, and commitment to the "renewable" concept makes them the paragon environmental non-profit. Bravo Kathleen.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Most directly in speaking with a physician from an impoverished South American country that benefited from Global Link's donation. His testimony to its impact and the corresponding presentation displayed a significant improvement in the lives of those living in that geographic area.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Hire their current Executive Director Kathleen Hower to do it as she has been since she founded the organization.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

I have often described the Global Links participants as an ego-less group bent on achieving the mission. Unlike almost every non-profit that I have had board involvement, Global Link's directors checked their egos at the door.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Professionals, students, retirees, laborers, children... Every willing skill that wanted to participate, could.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Increase its distribution channels and warehouse, expand its geographic footprint to reach more donor hospitals and suppliers, and help an exponentially-more volume of persons around the world.

Ways to make it better...

I had more time to commit.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Funding to continue to grow, and the squeeze of reduced product and increased need.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This is such a wonderful organization. It is a well-run, deeply committed, and effective organization that impacts persons in places of dire medical need.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
