Review for Kendall County Food Pantry Inc, Yorkville, IL, USA
I moved to this area 3 years ago. I came from a very materialistic invironment having always owned my own business. My husband and I lost everything we owned through a few bad decisions and were thrown into bankrputcy overnight. We had nothing but his Social Security to live on. Welived in public housing for the next five years. We moved to Yorkville because I needed help with my husbands healthcare, and my daughter was willing to help. We became acquainted with a neighbor who led me to the food pantry as there were a total of nine people in our family. I was a client before I was a volunteer. I have been a volunteer for three years, and I have never seen the level of caring, compassion, loyalty that is handed not only to the clients that come through, but to fellow volunteers. We are in every sense a family. A family that serves each other with blessings every day. I have turned down a job in order to stay at the pantry and do Gods work. The riches of a job could never replace the riches the Kendall County Food Pantry has put in my heart.
