Beginnings for Parents of Hearing Impaired Children, Inc.
November 12, 2010
I'm an audiologist, and also a lifelong consumer of hearing instrument technology. Beginnings is an awesome organization for families of children with hearing loss. Nothing of the sort existed when I was a young child growing up with hearing loss. Parents have so many questions about hearing loss, treatment, educational options - and Beginnings non-biased approach to providing answers makes it unique. The staff are dedicated and knowledgible and have made a difference in the lives of families in North Carolina. Their webpage and parent resources are available to parents all across America, so be sure to check it out www.ncbegin.org
Hearing loss is a common birth defect and we are identifying hearing loss through newborn infant hearing screening programs.
