ROOTERVILLE A SANCTUARY INC
September 29, 2010

In the many years I've been involved in animal rescue I've never met anyone as passionate about what they do as Dale and Elaine West at Rooterville. Each time I've visited the rescue I've been amazed at how clean and orderly the entire farm is. Their organizational skills, attention to detail and their overall dedication to the welfare of each animal in their care sets a model image for all of us. They are the definition of compassion.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I've been involved in Rooterville's efforts to place adoptable pigs by providing transportation for the animals on several occasions. Also, they were ready and willing to help me by providing a home for Miss Stella, a farm pig with an incredible story!

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would like to see them be able to move to a larger and more accommodating piece of property so that it would be easier for them to continue what they do.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

their professionalism and their attention to detail when considering the welfare of the animals.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

hard-working and dedicated.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

purchase the necessary size and location of a new piece of property and build permanent and safe housing for all of the animals in their care.

Ways to make it better...

I could have stayed longer and helped out more.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

moving to a more suitable piece of property and being able to provide more housing for the many pigs that live there.

One thing I'd also say is that...

if more people just knew what these folks at Rooterville do for the animals and how compassionate they are, there would be more donations and volunteers willing to lend a helping hand.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

MY ROLE:
Professional with expertise in this field & I've both assisted Rooterville and been assisted by them with pig placements and transportation efforts.
