I had worked in the Nutrition Center of the Pediatric hospital in Luanda- Angola. There I realized how important it is to stop the cycle of malnutrition through health literacy projects.Toghter with SASEF we created a flop chart with simple messages and appealing pictures, posters and brochures. The project´s goal is to teach young mothers the value of mother´s milk and help them to understand how to provide a nutritious and healthy lifestyle for their children and families.Further more we wanted to help the nurses and doctors to understand the benefit and ease of cunducting these classes while waiting for the consultation. SASEF also teamed up with other organisations to coordinate efforts related to fighting HIV\AIDS addressing birth control and prenatal issues.
