My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Oklahoma Performing Arts, Broken Arrow, OK, USA
I learned more about myself while attending Oklahoma Performing Arts than any other organization I was ever involved with as a kid. I developed self-confidence, leadership, a very strong work ethic, courage, strong skill in the fine arts, social skills, and most of all best friends. I learned more skills than just the several disciplines of dance. Miss. Laura was the best mentor, friend, and instructor I could have had during my childhood and part of the roughest times in my grade school life. I credit Miss. Laura and the Oklahoma Performing Arts studio for many of the accomplishments I have achieved since I have left the studio. Everything I learned from Oklahoma Performing Arts has helped me in so many more areas than the performing arts, and dance; the life skills I learned have helped me in college, academics, the work field, student organizations, and athletic teams at college.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the life skills I have learned. and the life long friends and connections I have made.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
more than willing to help me in any way possible and go through anything to help me accomplish anything I set my mind on.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
develop and positively change the lives of many children. Additionally, it could grant scholarships to its students and reach into the community further than it already does.
Ways to make it better...
I had kept with my talents and stayed enrolled in the organization as a young teen.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
any roadblocks that prevent Oklahoma Performing Arts from reaching and surpassing it's full potential.
One thing I'd also say is that...
I LOVE OKLAHOMA PERFORMING ARTS, MISS. LAURA, AND THE LIFE LONG FRIENDS I HAVE MADE WHILE INVOLVED WITH THIS ORGANIZATION!
