MARYLAND WOMENS HERITAGE CENTER AND MUSEUM INC
August 29, 2013

This is a nurturing non-profit that has heart, intelligence and open to everyone who cares about women's role in history and its's leadership today. It is inclusive and over the years of my engagement I have seen it grow in depth and promise for future generations.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

It is not so much the changes, but with more financial support it could do the big picture things it aspires to doing as it keeps its focus also on the relationships that it fosters.

The Maryland Women's Heritage Center is a unique place that brings women from across the state to gather and support the mission and also be part of the evolving history of women. I believe there is something for everyone, especially, men and young boys, who are welcome to learn and to honor the women in their lives as well. The MWHC is an open and welcoming place for children to senior adults to learn and become more knowledgeable about some extraordinary women and to find the extraordinary in themselves. Together, we can grow this organization and serve the community through its program and vision. It may need more financial support, which non-profit does not, but it does not lack heart or support for all women to be the best they can be and find where they can get involved.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I have met some women I would not have if I have not been involved. I have learned more about the women who came before us..their struggles and deeds. I have been able to honor my "unsung heroine" and enjoy the "can do" spirit of the women involved.
