Neuhaus Education Center
September 20, 2010
A few years ago I was offered the position of being the reading teacher for students with special needs especailly, difficulties in the areas of reading and comprehension. I struggled like any other new teacher. I tried to do books way beyond their reading levels or comprehension and I worked too hard with very little results.
I had heard about the Neuhaus training but wondered about how to get involved. At about this time I was given an opportunity by my principal to get trained at Neuhaus. That summer before I went back to teaching reading with no concept I got trained at Neuhaus. I was equipped with information that I needed to get them started, but my thirst for knowledge kept me going back for more. Today I am considerd a reading specialist at my school, and I am the dyslexia contact person. I am enrolled to complete my dyslexia practioner's course and I am scheduled to complete it this year. My students have made tremendous progress due to my training. I can finally teach students how to read, write and spell using multi sensory techniques.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my students performance. Their test results in TAKS as well as Stanford improve every year after they have gone through the Neuhaus way of education
