St Rita School for The Deaf
September 17, 2010

Outstanding resource for communication impaired children. Teachers maintain a caring, supportive, structured, disciplined environment to develop students emotionally and physically while providing tools for effective communication. I feel truly blessed to have this resource in our community.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My grand daughter had been diagnosed with apraxia and was unable to make any verbal sounds. After a year of their help she is vocalizing more and more, with the hope that she will be able to transfer to a mainstream school by the third grade.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Expand role and availability for individuals with apraxia and their families so more children could be helped. Perhaps develop an educational format to make work available to other regions of the country.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the total involvement of the staff for the education of their students.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

caring, supportive, focused, creative, patient, selfless

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

expand its educational program to provide the tools to teach other communities their methods for helping apraxic children. Expand their role in Cincinnati community to provide local help for more children.

Ways to make it better...

provide sign language classes for grand parents

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

1.expanding enrollment to provide education to greater numbers of apraxic children 2.how to provide this type of education to children of need outside this area

One thing I'd also say is that...

have never met a group so focused as a group on providing the highest quality of educaiton for any students, and particularly hearing/speech impaired children

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
