Community Grows
April 14, 2009

Warm, welcoming garden. It's great that there are so many ways the Koshland COmmunity Learning Garden is used: elementary school classes, youth development & green job preparation, community events, and individual garden plots. The garden is an asis in the lower haight/hayes valley.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the community.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

nurture it.

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the joy it instills in children about gardening and food growing.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

committed, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, welcoming, and accessible.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

create similar gardens around the city and beyond, with well-paid staff.

Ways to make it better...

I could have continued with more involvement.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

getting stable and increased funding.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I always feel good about my visits to the garden.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

Volunteer & I particpate in the general garden upkeep and maintenance.
