MATERNITY CARE COALITION
August 17, 2010
All in all, this is a great organization. I was most impressed by MCC's efficiency through the strategic break down of jobs, whether administrative or programmatic. At a time when most organizations are cutting back, MCC continues to expand both in staff, sites, and the number of families who benefit from their work. I've seen first hand the diverse communities that MCC serves, whether incarcerated women in Riverside Correctional Facility, new immigrant families, and many others in need. In all nine sites, MCC works in solidarity with women in the Greater Philadelphia area, helping them to raise healthier, stronger families and simultaneously to improve their own lives. There is a reason MCC has continued to grow for the past 30 years and I am glad I have had the opportunity to be part of their work.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing proactive families protect their infants from SIDS by receiving cribs and safe sleep education through MCC's Cribs for Kids program.
