The Fourah bay Community Foundation, Inc. board members and staff are committed to improve the lives of the people in the Fourah Bay Community In fourah Bay, Freetown, Sierra Leone, West African. The organization's have achieved a lot with limited resources, They awarded scholarships to 9 African youth to further their education in the Fourah Bay Community during the 2010-2011 academic year, They have established a medical committee to establish a sattalite clinic to help the people of Fourah Bay and to save lives. They are also in the process of establish a micro-finance initiative in the Fourah Bay Community to provide loans to the people to start and expand their businesses. The Fourah Bay Community Cooperative Society was established in the community in 2010.

The foundation organized annual conference/reunion to bring all the Fourah Bay community sons and daughters in the Diaspora, to learn about the activities and to contribute meaningfully to the development of the community.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I would like to recruit experts in the the field of fund raising and Public Relations to help raise money for the organization's programs, and to spread the word about the organization's activities in Africa.
