HOUSTON HUMANE SOCIETY
July 12, 2010

The Houston Humane Society is awesome! I was looking to bring a new dog into my home and it was important to find a good match for not only me, but also with my other dog. The staff was so patient and helpful in my search and it was very clear to me that they were just as interested in their animals finding a good home and match as much as me. I looked at several rescue groups and organizations, but the HHS really cared and went the extra mile to help me. They are doing such AMAZING work in saving so many precious animals that are abandoned or from abusive puppy mills. I am there biggest fan and proud to say that Jenna, my newest little family member, is triving and surrounded in love. Thanks HHS!

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Help find more awareness and funding for the great work that they do!

More feedback

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The time, effort, and care that the staff took with both myself as well as all of the abandoned and abused animals.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

helpful, dedicated, caring, and educated. The work they do comes straight from the heart and it shows!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Help SO many more animals so that they don't have to be put down. Money means more awareness and possibly even another location more central to make it easier for more people to adopt these precious animals.

Ways to make it better...

the location was closer to where I live. I knew that they had an excess of great dogs due to a large puppy mill rescue, so I decided it was worth the trip all the way out there to check them out vs. something here closer to me.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

money/funding. More funding means more exposure, awareness, education, workers/vets, so that their work can continue.

One thing I'd also say is that...

The Houston Humane Society is an amazing, well-deserving organization.
