Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies
July 1, 2010
At the forefront of human potential, I believe MAPS vision to be inspiring and valuable.
Although psychedelics, entheogens and hallucinogens have played a sacred and central and role in most societies throughout history, today they are misunderstood and oppressed both culturally and politically.
MAPS is leading the way in their renaissance with solid scientific research and public policy reform.
Like microscopes and telescopes for a conscious psyche and humane spirit, the first time I experienced psychedelics I caught a glimpse of the potential and possible implications they hold. Used in medicine, psychiatry and spiritual practices, psychedelics can heal individuals and positively transform society and culture. The impact MAPS could contribute to human development spans wide and deep.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing their online presence and public relations grow. They once seemed humble and amateurish in appearance, but now their revamped mission and media savvy website display a clear and professional presentation.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
significantly influence the world. Imagine integrated health care centers that offer psychedelic therapy where individuals could heal, develop and thrive. Healthy, balanced, open, loving and awake -- imagine cultures that function at deeper ways of being.
