Payatas Mission Outreach Inc
June 27, 2010
I have spent 27 years as a missionary (Christian Psychologist) in the Philippines where I served as Director of Manila Counseling Center and Safe Place, a ministry to street children. I was first contacted by Jack and Malou before they made the decision to begin a ministry in Manila. I am so glad they have chosen to devote their lives here!
Few people have the heart and soul to minister in an area like Payatas. I have visited the church many times, speaking at their first anniversary celebration to a packed house. What a great day that was!
I consider Jack and Malou close friends, like family. They work among the poorest of the poor in Manila within sight of one of the largest garbage dumps in the world.
The personify the best model of the modern urban missionaries in a city of 14 million people. The call of God is strong in their lives. They display Christ-like compassion for all. As evidence of their care they opened a free medical clinic on a shoestring budget and Faith that is a beacon of hope to a hopeless community! They send children to summer camp, generously give clothing and food, often from their own table. Jack and Malou are the "real deal", and I can recommend their work as an eye witness with the greatest level of enthusiasm possible.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Manila for several years as a fellow missionary as described in my review. They deserve this award like few other minstries do!
