My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Wigs 4 Kids, St. Clair Shores, MI, USA
My daughter has been volunteering as a musician for Wigs 4 Kids events for three years now - she plays her harp at the Annual Gala, at the Capital Campaign launch and at the Wellness Center Grand Opening. Maggie is so inspiring that all three of my daughters have donated their hair to Wigs 4 Kids, and are growing their hair to donate again. We have had the opportunity to interact with kids who have been served by Wigs 4 Kids, and it is obvious that the caring, supportive environment combined with delivery of an essential and clearly overlooked service makes the organization an important addition to this community.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
knowing that we made a difference by sharing the gift of music, and contributing hair donations to the organization to help make wigs for kids.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
the most caring, dedicated, focused and accomplished group of staff and volunteers.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Make sure that kids who needed wigs could get them, and also get the kind of emotional support necessary while dealing with serious illness.
Ways to make it better...
I can't imagine any areas for improvement.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the new Wellness Center should get the support it deserves -- it will be a whole new way to meet the needs of its clients.
One thing I'd also say is that...
This organization is incredible, and Maggie Varney is an amazing person.
