Review for The Gabriel Foundation, Denver, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Gabriel Foundation took care of my birds for a year while I studied abroad. It's very difficult to find quality care for such sensitive creatures, but this organization has exceeded my expectations. I had regular updates (with pictures!) while I was gone, and when I got back the birds were happy and healthy. I attended a lecture on avian nutrition at the aviary, and will be able to feed my bird a much more healthy diet because of what I learned there. I've seen what they have done for other birds, including rescue from abuse and abandonment. The quality of their facilities is unparalleled.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

My bird's foster care, avian nutrition lecture

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

their aviary.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

caring, smart, professional, and friendly.

Review for Multidisciplinary Association For Psychedelic Studies, Santa Cruz, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

MAPS is the most innovative nonprofit group I have ever encountered. To me, nothing could be more important than a peaceful end-of-life experience, and that is one of the primary goals of this organization. Through some of their clinical trials, they have reported being able to bring arguing families together during a loved one's last moments, make terminal patients come to terms with their death so that they can spend their remaining time focusing on more important things, and they have also helped those with diagnosed PTSD to permanently recover. They have created a positive, powerful, and intelligent community with their supporters. Through their efforts, so many people have been enabled to open their eyes to the incredible potential in this life. The organization seeks to improve quality of life through legitimate scientific research and sound medical practices. They are, in so many ways, my hope for this world.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The legalization of medical marijuana; a video they created on helping others through difficult psychedelic experiences; academic lectures; my view of what's possible in the field of medicine.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give them more money to support their research, events, and staff; get more colleges interested in hosting them to lecture; send Rick Doblin flowers daily to remind him of what a spectacular guy he is.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the community that supports it.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the world.

Ways to make it better...

it was longer!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

misconceptions.
