My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Payatas Mission Outreach Inc, Riverside, CA, USA
Not many people would volunteer to leave the comfort of the U.S.A. to live in a third world country. Even fewer would go and minister in an area that is probably one of the world's largest garbage dumps, toxic and polluted. Pastor Jack did just that, feeling the call of God to reach out to those poor souls that try to eke out a living in the dregs of the Payatas dump. Pastor Jack and his lovely family have a heart to serve the poorest of the poor, opening a free medical clinic, sending children to summer camp, giving clothing and food from their own limited resources. I know Pastor Jack will frequently sacrifice a comfort we take for granted if he can be a blessing to someone else.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
The faithfulness of Pastor Jack and family, and the positive impact made on the poorest of the poor, especially the children.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Dedicated, humble and positive
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Open a hospital, school, orphanage, help provide job training.
Ways to make it better...
I had more to give
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Financial constraints to accomplish all that there is a vision for
One thing I'd also say is that...
Of course Pastor jack being from Brooklyn makes him inherently tough, smart and capable. Youse know?
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
About every month
