The United Fund began in 1966 to raise money to help people in our community. The United Fund currently serves 37 non-profit agencies in the Cumberland County Area. These agencies aid the homeless, the hungry, victims of emergencies/disasters, adult and child victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, victims of crime, our military, citizens with brain disorders and disabilities, low-income families, the elderly and the county's most precious resources, our children and youth. The United Fund has one part-time employee and a committed team of 30 volunteer board members.
