I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002. I felt the need to speak with other breast cancer patients who were going through the same experience to help me forge through my cancer treatment. I enrolled in "Women in Treatment" and to my delight found a lovely group of women who just needed to vent and commiserate with others experiencing the same side effects and fears. We laughed and cried, but would leave each meeting with more confidence that we could make it through another week of grueling and debilitating side effects from chemotherapy. I am still friendly with two women I met at Share and we meet every few months for dinner. It is with great sadness that I've learned that one of these women has developed metastatic breast cancer. Share is a wonderfu organization and it helped me through the most challenging time in my life. Mindy Horowitz
