UCAN, Inc.
June 12, 2010

We often speak about HIV and AIDS as if were happing in some far off land. and for good reason -- this is a virus that has touched lives and decimated communities around the world, particularly in Africa but we seldom talk about the serious HIV/AIDS epidemic of our own – UCAN, has decided to take important steps forward in the fight that we face here at home. It has been nearly three decades since this virus first became known. But for years, we refused to recognize it for what it was. A disease the all humans are eligible to contract. A number of advances over the years have broadened our understanding of this cruel illness and we also know that it is 100% preventable. We are part of groups of individuals who are participating in stopping new infections for the next generation and we invite you to count yourself among us. I believe that creation is calling all of us to participate in the elimination of the disease of HIV and AIDS. I believe we all have to make a choice about whose voice we are going to heed and follow: the voice of Creation telling us we are the beloved and we need to help each other eliminated this disease of HIV and AIDS, or that of the TEMPTER trying to lure us from love's all-inclusive path by continuing to see HIV and AIDS as “Their” problem not mine / ours.

The Great!
