My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for The Albert Schweitzer Fellowship, Boston, MA, USA
Being a part of the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship was one of the most meaningful parts of my graduate school career. It brought me the opportunity to not only practice what I was learning in grad school, but the opportunity to reach and out and give back to the community that I was living in. Service has always been an important part of my life, and the goals of the ASF matched not only what I value, but gives students the opportunity to integrate service into their every day life. This organization is not only beneficial to students, but to the entire community in which they work.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing myself grow as someone able to reach out and implement successful community programming to underserved populations. I have also seen the effects of 25 students implementing healthcare to the underserved populations, an effect that is incalculable.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
collaborating with like-minded students and professionals, and the direct contact with the members at the community health center.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Give students across the country to participate, thus increasing the amount of community programs that are implemented, and thus the number of people impacted positively by these services.
