My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Kristin Brooks Hope Center, Washington, DC, USA
I helped KBHC implement a nationwide 1-800 call management and distribution system. The project required the integration of hardware and software into AT&T co-location facilities, call distribution centers and hundreds of volunteer organizations willing to help out their neighbors in distress. Reese provided the vision and drive to make an easily accessible suicide counseling network. He tirelessly worked with all levels of government and industry to move the vision forward.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
working with people that are dedicated to a worthy cause.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
touched in one way or another by suicides; friends, family, etc.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
save thousand of lives.
Ways to make it better...
there was less politically wrangling between the government, the grant administrator and the organization.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
stigma associated with the act of suicide.
One thing I'd also say is that...
KBHC has changed the lives, for the better, of virtually everyone associated with the organication and who have benefited from their services
