This organisation is working very well with the Malawian community and is a necessary service to babies and families where the mother has died in childbirth. There is a long term committment for supporting and educating the families. The local government hospital offers a referral service where the staff can communicate with the families and community care team. Also the mothers who have had more than one baby are followed up and extra milk supplies as the infant death rates are high in multiple births. This initiative is invaluable for the families in the Lilongwe district.
