international midwife assistance, inc

I have worked with IMA since 2007 as a volunteer. They are without a doubt one of the most honest and hardworking non-profits i have ever had the pleasure of working with. They focus on creating sufficiency in the communities that they seek to help and are making a tremendous difference in countless peoples lives. Every time I have been to their clinic in Uganda I am struck by how much of an actual impact they are making and how much the local people there love them. I am proud to have been able to work with this group and look forward to being able to do so again.

I worked with International Midwife Assistance in their clinic in Uganda. I have been witness to their work for many years now and never cease to be amazed by the impact they have on our community. Although they are a relatively small group, they have changed innumerable lives and I am certain they will continue to do so. In working with the group side-by-side I was struck by their dedication to improving the lives of those they serve. I believe theirs is a beautiful project that will continue to grow and in doing so they will continue to change the world.

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

my trips to Uganda. I worked with IMA during the summers for the past three years and personally witnessed the people personally impacted by their work. They have truly made an impact on both Uganda and the world.

Ways to make it better...

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

There would be nothing I would change except for them to have more funding. I think with more funding they would be able to do even more than they already do.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the impact that they have had on the community. The tireless way that they work to constantly improve and grow so that they can better serve the people in need.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very intelligent and qualified. I met several different types and noticed that they were united in their dedication to excellence. They were varied in personality and training but they all wanted to help to improve the lives of those around them.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change the world. With that much money, this project could help to eliminate the problems regarding child maternal health. They could reach many more people in their efforts and have many more resources.

Ways to make it better...

there had been more funding for this non-profit. It is a beautiful program that is in need of more funding because if they had it they would be able to expand in incredible ways.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the lack of funds in this present economy. They are having trouble in maintaining their previous budget because of the lessening of charity donations.

One thing I'd also say is that...

this is an amazing non-profit that would really benefit from receiving extra funds.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About once a year

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
