Share Self-Help for Women with Breast or Ovarian Cancer, Inc.
May 29, 2010
When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, I had family support, but no support from anyone who had dealt with breast cancer personally.
Someone at work introduced me Share and I became involved. I got involved on both ends. I started participating in groups when I was diagnosed with with breast cancer 21 years ago.I eventually led support groups. Now 21 years later I am still involved doing hotline calls from home.
Share was wonderful for me and I hear the grateful voices of the women on the hotline. They are so grateful to have someone to talk to, even if they can't attend any of the programs. (Some of the women live in other states).
