BENEDICT CENTER INC
May 29, 2010

Our society is framed by large margins which are teeming with troubled individuals. Organizations and policies attempt to address the needs of the underprivileged, but rarely does one encounter one as effective and impressive as the Benedict Center. This organization brings women who have had legal and addiction troubles into a vibrant community. It is a place rich with opportunity and support, as well as discipline. Whether taking counseling, anger management classes, or working on their GED, most clients are empowered by their experiences there. Bravo!

The Great!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Education and moving beyond addiction are significant milestones for these women. Yet perhaps more significant is the change when they become connected to a community, valued and respected. The women feel capable of accomplishing things and contributing.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

to join in the beautiful 'chorus'. We are bombarded with sad and frightening tales of human folly. The Benedict Center offers dignity, respect, and healing; it is an oasis in many ways!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Competent, pleasant, personable.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

change our community. The Benedict Center crusades for alternatives to incarceration, healthy individuals and families, positive parenting and education. These programs could really divert negative trends in our city if more extensively funded.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
