Threads Africa is a wonderful non-profit with a focus on education. They lead teams of people to South Africa and demonstrate the amazing change that comes through education.
I later started the Kuyasa Film School under the Threads Africa umbrella. We work to educate and equip students in film so that they may gain employment in the booming South Africa film industry. Along the way we use film as a sort of art therapy, allowing students to tell their own stories.
Threads Africa is an amazing organization, and you'll be forever changed by your experience in Africa.
