Preston High School
May 27, 2010
I am the parent of a Preston Freshman. From my first year experiencing Preston I can say that the teachers and staff are phenomenal. They care for and encourage the girls. The principal is very involved and a great role model. She attends parent meetings to give parents updates on the school and inform them about important issues like bullying and anxiety. She listens to parents at each parent meeting. The teachers go beyond school hours to help students after school, and they interact with students and parents in fun ways at different activities throughout the year. The Compassion Connection, a club that my daughter belongs to, has done wonderful things for others; raising money for Haiti and other causes, getting the girls to donate their time to help less fortunate kids. This year the school created a Diversity Day to let students experience food, music, and cultures of all the students. I can see that the entire school works to help girls become the movers and shakers in society. The education is not geared to simply fill the girls with knowledge to pass tests. The education is geared to pass on knowledge that can make a difference and make things better. I am very glad that my daughter is going to Preston. She is learning that women do great things, and that she can too.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
everything so far.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
compassionate with sensibility and a sense of humor.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
give more young women a great education!
