The Great!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
advocacy training, transitional planning, support groups, lending library, family outings, fund raising events, state and national conferences, strategic planning, board membership, support in my local community outside Milwaukee
Ways to make it better...
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
like to see the media take a greater interest and recognize that ASSEW is a truly valuable resource to the SE Wisconsin area.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the value of networking with others and meeting families with the same life changing events. They not only offer information and training to parents of newly diagnosed children but also do a great job of keeping abreast of the adult issues and resources.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
quick to respond, considerate, compassionate and always giving of their time even though they have a family member affected by autism which can be all consuming
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
make a larger impact in the greater Milwaukee area and better serve the inner-city population
Ways to make it better...
they could afford more paid staff...our great volunteers get worn out!
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
the economy and the impact it has made on fund raising. ASSEW relies on donations and grants to stay afloat.
One thing I'd also say is that...
this organization has made a HUGE impact in keeping medical and educational professionals informed of new advancements and techniques that help people affected by autism. It is an amazing organization!
