JUBILEE WOMEN'S CENTER
May 25, 2010
I started volunteering with Jubilee in the Fall of last year (2009) through the University of Washington. Jubilee was meant to provide me with a taste of social service work and get me out of the classroom and into the "real world." It's done SO much more than that...
I've learned about homelessness in Seattle, especially women's homelessness, and what a huge issue it is to so many. I've learned the power of a small, well-run non-profit within the larger social context... Most importantly, I've found friends and mentors while working to alleviate poverty and displacement in the lives of many, truly inspiring women.
Love you Jubilee!
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
...regard to how I've seen women's lives changed for the better in the short time I've been with Jubilee. Women come in often hurt and marginalized by society and leave with renewed dedication to themselves and the world.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
