Review for Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower International (known as Kidpower), Santa Cruz, CA, USA
I have had the honor of working with many talented and dedicated people to create curriculum, develop services, train instructors, and establish centers around the world. We have reached over 1.2 million people of all ages and abilities, especially children and women in need, with empowering, effective skills for taking charge of their emotional and physical safety. The skills we teach prepare people to use boundaries to build better relationships; advocate effectively for the well-being of themselves and others; and protect themselves and their loved ones from most bullying, molestation, assault, and abduction. Our challenge is to become much more widely known as a valuable resource to use and an important charity to support.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the connections with wonderful people from all over the world and the opportunity to help so many people have more joyful, safer lives.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
1. Use technology much more effectively in giving people more access to our work; 2. Reach a million people a year, especially from higher risk areas; 3. Pay our staff more comfortable wages and benefits so that they can afford to do this work long run.
Ways to make it better...
