SHARE's services to the Spanish speaking community are unique in many ways. They offer support groups that not only serve the cancer survivors but their friends and family alike. SHARE has develop programs to address the needs of this community like no other organization in NYC has done. SHARE provides education, advocacy and nutrition programs in Spanish, to name a few. The latest idea, a novella to educate young Latinas about breast cancer.
The attention to the needs and realities of this particular community is what makes SHARE, and particularly its LatinaSHARE Program such a success.

It has challenged me to get involved in the political aspects of the fight against breast and ovarian cancer. Legislation on health care and research funds are needed to win the war against cancer.
