When I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer more than 18 years ago, I was shocked, emotionally and psychologically broken, wrote a will and thought I was going to die. My partner had a friend who recommended SHARE. When I thought my days were numbered, SHARE became my lifeline, and I met the most caring, knowledgeable, empowering, supportive, loving women I could ever have imagined. I became attended support groups, shared my story which helped to help others advocate for themselves through the labyrinth of hospitals, doctors and insurance. My love of SHARE and what it has accomplished over the years has no boundaries. While I am no longer involved on a weekly basis, SHARE knows that they can count on my support anytime.
