This extraordinary organization offers services free of charge with a hot line, education programs, peer support groups and patient navigators. SHARE provides comfort and support for those newly diagnosed, in treatment, post treatment and metastatic. SHARE provides evidence based information to women to help them with decision making in their treatments. SHARE also has volunteers who focus on advocacy through legislation and science to be able to inform women on evidence based medicine, and quality care. These advocates also sit on committees and boards in decision making positions on breast and ovarian cancer health care and research funding. SHARE has been in existence for over 30 years. it has a small staff and a dedicated group of volunteers serving over 30,000 women and their families each year

my experience as a cancer patient calling the hot line, participating in support groups and attending education program. The kind compassion freely given to me as well as meeting other women with breast cancer was tremendously important to me.
