Share Self-Help for Women with Breast or Ovarian Cancer, Inc.
May 18, 2010
As a breast cancer survivor myself I have found it very meaningful to talk with women who are going through the trauma of a breast cancer diagnosis. When I am able to be helpful it is very gratifying. I have found that Share has played a big role in the lives of countless callers who have found a lifeline in finding someone from the hotline or among our peers who they feel can understand what they are going through. The fact that Share offers support groups and educational programs at no cost is also gratifying to our members. I have found that my volunteer work on the hotline has been both meaningful and gratifying.
I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
my volunteer work there. As a retiree it is meaninful work which I look forward to.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
were unfailingly friendly and welcoming.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
expand its reach. Resume the health and wellness programs it had to drop because of budget considerations.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
