My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Welcome Home Ministries, Oceanside, CA, USA
As part of a community outreach/advocacy project for our graduate counseling program my cohorts and I conducted research on various non-profits working to assist women in the criminal justice system. This included women currently incarcerated, formerly incarcerated and/or on probation. We were impressed with the effectiveness achieved by the peer counselors with their abilities to motivate and inspire change among the women they served. After observing first hand the work they do among these women we are committed to help them in their mission.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Is their commitment to uplift and transform the lives of women who were once incarcerated.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Very caring and committed.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Expand the number of women currently being served.
Ways to make it better...
I had more time to be more involved with them.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Limited funds and resources
One thing I'd also say is that...
I am glad there is an organization like Welcome Home Ministries to help the women they served who are often overlooked, neglected and underserved.
