My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Immigration Equality, New York, NY, USA
while IE does a lot of amazing work; they do reject clients some of whom cannot get past reception if they do not fit certain criteria. I am a vocal critic of Immigration equality's strategy. Instead of being open to hearing they have shut me out of their Blogs and website to ensure that their strategy is not questioned by the public at large.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
Not sure at this time
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
Very nice people.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Hire strategists, hire people who know how to work with grassroots, provide competent methods for intake, resources in other cities, take cases that are usually rejected because seemingly will spoil success rates.
Ways to make it better...
They would have treated me more respectfully.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Is the US Congress and the religious right.
One thing I'd also say is that...
That they should get an executive Director who is more willing to be involved at a people level. Get the real stories out there. Be less contrived and more organic, Provide transparency.
