My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for EcoLogic Development Fund, Cambridge, MA, USA
I have really enjoyed my time spent at EcoLogic. Through the work I've done, I feel like I have helped to make a difference. The team at EcoLogic is very passionate about their projects and work well collectively to reach their common goal. I've especially observed this during their regular team meeting and workshops. I also admire EcoLogic's efforts to stay current with environmental issues through their lunch discussions drawn my weekly chosen environmental articles. I really not seen anything that would raise criticisms of the organization. They seem to be making real progress and their system seems very efficient.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
I've really enjoyed the opportunity to learn so much about the communities in Latin America in which they work. It is so interesting to learn about specific individuals who have benefitted from EcoLogic's work and how it has changed their communities.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
so passionate about their work! It really seems like everyone here really wants to be here and make a difference. The staff works well collectively in finding ways to achieve their goals and improve their tactics.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Help so many people improve their living conditions and conserve so many resources. The system that they have seems to achieve these joint goals and is maintained sustainably by the communities that they help.
Ways to make it better...
I could have worked more with other facets of the organization. I only worked with the communication sector and it would have been nice to see what everyone else does.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Funding seems to be a big challenge and communication with the communities with which they work
One thing I'd also say is that...
I think it is great that they have local field staff because it seems like communities are more motivated by change when it is implemented by their own people rather than imposed by foreign organizations.
How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
